BSSEC, Building Services Sustainability & Environmental Consultancy, is in the business of helping commercial organisations become more energy efficient.
BSSEC was founded by current Executive Chairman Paul Bennett in 2005. As a Chartered Engineer Paul recognised the value that good energy efficiency advice could deliver and set up BSSEC to help businesses identify and implement energy saving measures.
Our first client was Carbon Trust, we gave design advice for new buildings, delivered commercial energy audits and managed technical implementation of energy saving projects. Over the years our core services have remained largely unchanged, but we have grown. We now have a core team of 10 and work with a large number of clients from a variety of sectors. As we’ve expanded we’ve brought new skills and knowledge into the team and in 2014 we reached a milestone, Paul became Executive Chairman and we appointed a new Managing Director, Wayne Ward, to help drive BSSEC forward in the next stage of our growth.
We are sometimes asked what makes us different to other energy efficiency businesses. There are a number of things, but the 2 we feel most strongly about are change management and smart technology. We believe that the combination of training your people to use good processes and utilising smart technology delivers excellent results often for a relatively low investment. In short we are about good business sense.
