Low Carbon Infrastructures

Low Carbon Infrastructures

Energy Services Companies (ESCO’s) will in the future deliver a large proportion of the UK’s carbon emissions reductions through the creation of low carbon energy centres and community heat and power networks.

ESCO’s can finance, design, build, operate and bill customers for low carbon energy. This is achieved through local low carbon energy sources being used at the energy centre. Examples include CHP (Combined Heat and Power), biomass heating, fuel cells, energy from waste, wind turbines and all other renewable energy sources.

b:ssec has formed relationships and works closely with the best UK based ESCO’s to provide solutions. These include E.on and Ecocentrogen. We also work with other ESCO’s and ESCO models depending upon the project and client requirements.

b:ssec has worked on a variety of ESCO projects including; master planning, city-wide energy networks and business parks. Clients have included universities, prisons, hospitals, supermarkets and local authorities.
